When will I receive my order?

Every item is handmade to order. Please allow 1-2 weeks for production time. 

We ship on a first come, first serve basis. At this time, Yam is not taking rush requests. However if your order is time sensitive, please see our stockists page or purchase a Yam gift card.

I don't have pierced ears, can I convert an earring to a clip on?

The answer is yes! 

Several styles can be converted to a clip on, including hoop earrings. Please email info@yamnyc.com for more information.

What's the difference between gold filled and gold plated?

Both gold filled and gold plated jewelry involve the process of bonding a layer of gold onto a base metal. Gold filled items have a thicker layer of gold and will not change color. Gold plated items will eventually discolor in time. To extend the life of gold plating, avoid wearing jewelry in water and wipe off after each wear. 

How do I care for my jewelry?

Wipe off all jewelry after wear and avoid wearing items in water.

For gold plated items, do not use a polishing cloth. Store in a cloth bag or jewelry box when not in use. 

How Can I get something repaired?

All repairs are welcomed and will be accompanied by a fee, dependent on the level of damage. Please email info@yamnyc.com with proof of purchase, a photo and a short description of the damage. 

How can I remove tarnish?

Brass and silver naturally tarnish over time. If you choose to bring back shine, simply wipe down with a polishing cloth or scrub with a toothbrush, mild soap and water. For polishing cloths, we recommend Sunshine Polishing Cloths.

 

My package is marked as delivered but I didn't receive it?

Yam is not responsible for lost or stolen items, however please let us know and we will do our best to assist you. 

If your order is wrongly addressed/incorrect, we will fix the error and re-send.

What's your return policy?

All returns must be made within 15 days for store credit. Item(s) must be unused with the original packaging. The customer is responsible for all shipping charges and will not be refunded. Please email info@yamnyc.com with proof of purchase and reason for the return. 

I saw an item for sale at a pop up/market, but I don't see it on the site. How can I buy?

Some styles are exclusive to pop up/market events. If you would like to purchase an item from an in person event, email us at info@yamnyc.com or message us on Instagram.
